I-95 In Philadephia Collapses
Part of the highway I-95 collapsed in Philadelphia after a truck fire underneath caused the roadway to buckle. The road is a major commuter path and will be out of commission for months. This is expected to create traffic nightmares as drivers look for other routes. The fire broke out around 6 AM on Sunday and there were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. The truck contained a large amount of octane fuel and the driver is still unaccounted for, and it’s not known if he was injured or was in the truck as the fire broke out. An average of 160,000 drivers are estimated to use that section of the highway every day.
