In a lawsuit involving Gwyneth Paltrow, she was found not liable for a ski accident that caused damage to a man. The jury took less than 20 minutes to decide. The case has captivated the U.S., with footage of her testifying shown all over the media. Each party in the case claimed the other caused the accident. The plaintiff had sent an email to his family and friends after the accident stating “I am Internet famous”. An expert witness presented by Paltrow said that her version of the events was the most likely. She was initially sued for $3 million, but the amount was revised to $300,000. Paltrow reduced her countersuit from $1 million to $1. Paltrow said that she refused to give in to a false claim and only wanted to vindicate herself.
