At Least 60 Dead from Blizzard

The severe weather storm that has encapsulated the United States has already claimed the lives of 65 individuals, and it’s journey is not over. This blizzard’s death toll climbed to 65 on Tuesday while rescue efforts were being delayed further due to the continuous amounts of snow raining down. Buffalo, New York Mayor Byron Brown said this storm was “probably worse than anything that this city has seen in over 50 years.”

Erie County had discovered a total of 32 bodies as of early afternoon Tuesday, just 2 short of the 34 recoveries total in the state of New York. The National Weather Service has been tracking the blizzard and says snow is being produced “at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour.”
