NFL Week 16 Takeaways

In week 16 of the 2022 NFL season, around 3 games were played on Sunday. Grant Gordon, a Digital Content Editor for the NFL, posted his NFL Week 16 Takeaways for this past Sunday.

According to Grant, his takeaways included “The G.O.A.T. comes in clutch…Fumble spoils McSorley’s solid debut,” and “The Bucs still have concerns despite win.” Most of his takeaways were based on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Arizona Cardinals game, where the Buccaneers won 19-16 in overtime. Grant concluded overall in his takeaways that both teams did not play an overly impressive game, but Buccaneer’s quarterback Tom Brady was the one who pulled through. Grant reported that it was a “game where neither team could pull away and points were at a premium, it all came down to who could execute when it mattered.” The Buccaneers had their season on the line as playoffs for the SuperBowl are beginning, and “it was Tom Brady who showed his experience and poise under pressure in leading the Buccaneers to victory in the end.” Even though the Bucs pulled out with a win, Grant reported that Brady and his team’s game play needs to step up if they “want to compete with other playoff contenders.”
