Winter Storm Leaves More Than a Million Without Power
A massive winter storm has struck all throughout the United States and left over a million people without power in below freezing weather. Most power outages are occurring in New York, Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia and Pennsylvania, but those aren’t the only states feeling the wrath of this storm.
The storm has moved from the Midwest to the Eastern portion of the country closing down roads and airports stopping most travel. There have already been over 10 deaths in the Midwest resulting from the frigid temperatures, many from car crashes on the ice. Over 200 million people in the United States have been under wind chill alerts from Canada to Mexico and Washington to Florida. The National Weather Service calls this “one of the greatest extents of winter weather warnings and advisories ever,”.
