Twitter Users Say Elon Musk Should Step Down

On Sunday, new Twitter owner Elon Musk posted a poll on the platform asking users if he should step down from his head position of the company. According to CNBC, the poll ended at 6:20 a.m. ET on Monday, resulting in “a majority of respondents (57.5%) calling for the billionaire to leave his post.”

It was reported that over 17 million Twitter users voted in the poll before it closed, and Musk said he would “abide by the results of the poll.” CNBC reported that earlier in November during court, Musk announced he would “reduce his time at Twitter and find somebody else to run Twitter over time.” Recently, Musk tweeted that “there is no possible successor for him at the social media company” because he has not found someone yet who can “keep Twitter alive.” Musk has not followed up saying if he would actually step down from his position.
