Heavy Snow Storms Headed Toward Northeast by Weekend
As the southern half of the United States recovers from tornadoes, the Northeast is bunkering down to prepare for heavy snow storms through the weekend. Many residents in the Northeast are under winter weather alerts, the snow predicted to pile a foot high. New York Governor Kathy Hochul warns residents of hazardous road conditions and urges them to avoid the roads, “Work from home if possible, stay off the roads, and make sure you and your loved ones remain vigilant.”
Neighboring states such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine have also been warned about the potential dangers of this storm, and some have already felt the effects. New York has already seen over 14 inches of snow, some of the others expecting between 18 and 24 inches. This storm has already caused destruction across states and there’s no telling when its path will come to an end.
