Prince Harry Blames Media for Meghan’s Miscarriage

In the final episode of the Harry and Megan Netflix documentary that aired on Thursday, Prince Harry blamed the media for his wife’s miscarriage. According to CNN, Prince Harry said that “the media placed undue stress on his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, which lead to her having a miscarriage and suffering suicidal thoughts.”

In the sixth episode of the documentary, Meghan spoke about stress going on during her pregnancy, which included “moving into their new home in Santa Barbara, California, issues with her father, and unrelenting media coverage.” In the episode she said “I was pregnant. I really wasn’t sleeping. The first morning that we woke up in our new home is when I miscarried.” Her husband followed up in the episode saying “I believe my wife suffered a miscarriage because of what the Mail did…Now, do we absolutely know the miscarriage was created, caused by that? Course we don’t. But bearing in mind the stress that that caused, the lack of sleep, and the timing of the pregnancy, how many weeks in she was, I can say, from what I saw, that miscarriage was created by what they were trying to do to her.” During this time Meghan was in an ongoing legal battle with the Mail over the publishing of a private letter she wrote to her father. In the documentary, Meghan seemingly underwent a huge amount of stress, ultimately influencing the health of her pregnancy/possibly causing her to misscarriage.
