Indian and Chinese Troops Collide at Disputed Border
Indian and Chinese troops have just clashed at their Himalayan border for the first time in nearly two years. India’s Ministry of Defense said soldiers from both countries suffered minor injuries. The face off took place in the Tawang Sector in India’s northeastern territory in Arunachal Pradesh.
There has always been tension on both sides of the 2,100 mile border, especially between New Delhi and Beijing. India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said China’s People’s Liberation Army had attempted to cross the line of actual control, which was the reason for the scuffle between the countries. The Indian Army prevented the PLA from crossing over into their territory and leaders from both sides immediately met up to resolve the issue and restore peace.
