Adidas Plans to Launch Investigation into Sexual Misconduct Allegations Brought Against Kanye
On Thursday, Adidas released a statement saying they plan to launch an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations made against Kanye West. In October, the company ended their partnership with Kanye because of violations, such as antisemitic tweets, he made that go against the company’s values.
According to CNN Business, Adidas said “it is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true. However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.” It was reported that the statement released by the brand, followed a Rolling Stones interview that said “Adidas board members ignored inappropriate behavior from the rapper.” These inappropriate behaviors included “accusations of verbal abuse, bullying and offensive remarks, especially towards women, and sexual harassment. The Rolling Stone piece details how West repeatedly played porn and shared explicit images during business meetings.” Kanye West, his family, nor his team, has made any comment denying or confirming the allegations.
