Russia Attacks Ukraine Energy Systems

Ukraine’s energy systems are on the brink of failure after another Russian airstrike attack. Russia attacked Ukrainian cities early Wednesday morning killing 6 people and leaving parts of the country without both electricity and water. Ukraine has already taken the precaution of disconnecting three nuclear power plants from the national electricity grid to avoid further damage from Russian airstrikes.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that 21 of the 31 missiles targeted at Kyiv were shot down. Ukrainian officials have said that they have been able to shoot down between two thirds and three quarters of missiles aimed at the country. Unfortunately, the ones that do hit leave a tremendous amount of strain and damage on the country that is just fighting for its freedom.
