Biden Extends Student Loan Repayment Hold

President Joe Biden has just extended the student loan repayment freeze since his student loan forgiveness plan is currently tied up in the courts. This benefit began in March 2020 to allow aid to those struggling to pay off their student loans due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Borrowers were able to redeem $20,000 in debt relief, which was set to occur before loan payments resume in January.

The Biden Administration had said that the most recent extension to the end of December would be the last one. This new announcement marks the eighth time the payment date has been extended since March 2020.
