3 Students Killed, 2 Wounded in UVA Shooting

Yet another school shooting has taken place in the United States this year, this one at the University of Virginia late Sunday night. The shooting happened on a school bus coming back from a field trip for a class. The 3 victims who were killed were UVA football players D’Sean Perry, Devin Chandler, and Lavel Davis Jr. Two others were injured in this shooting but have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

UVA Police Chief Timothy Longo secured an arrest warrant for the 22 year old shooter, Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. Jones was on the run into Monday morning when students were urged to seek shelter or fight until police could detain the suspect. Jones is facing three charges of second-degree murder and three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony.
