“Wakanda Forever” Makes $28 Million in Previews

Thursday, Marvel’s latest movie release “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” made $28 million in previews. According to Variety, the movie was released last Friday, and ranked as the “No. 15 highest preview haul ever, opening in 4,396 total theaters.”

‘Wakanda Forever’ is the sequel to the original 2018 “Black Panther,” and has already surpassed it in preview gross. The first “Black Panther” made $25 million in previews, but then went on to make over “$1.3 billion.” “Wakanda Forever” after opening weekend, has already made “$205 million at the domestic box office and $350 million globally.” Variety reported that the film is the “seventh film in 2022 to surpass $200 million in North American ticket sales, making Disney’s 2022 releases collectively grossing $3 billion.”
