Tropical Storm Nicole Hits Florida

As Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall in Florida, she was upgraded to Hurricane title. Nicole began by hitting the south east region of Florida, moving north through the state and into the panhandle before continuing its journey up the eastern coast.

Nicole left Florida taking 5 lives and leaving behind millions of dollars in damage. She made landfall just south of Vero Beach with winds up to 75 mph, classifying as a Category 1 hurricane. Nicole then downshifted to a tropical storm near the panhandle and a tropical depression as she ran her course through the eastern coast. This is one of the latest hurricanes Florida has seen in hurricane season, ending on November 30.
