Space Shuttle Challenger Pieces Found Under Water
NASA has confirmed that a piece of the Challenger Space Shuttle has been discovered off the East Coast of Florida. The discovery was made by a documentary crew just days ago while looking for WWII plane parts.
The Challenger Space Shuttle was launched in 1986 with seven crew members on board. The shuttle split after 73 seconds in the air killing all passengers. This is one of the largest pieces of debris of the Challenger found since the explosion. The 4.5×4.5 meter fragment remains on the ocean floor under the government’s possession while NASA develops a course of action.
