Biden Says the US Will Meet It’s Emissions Target by the Year 2030

President Joe Biden has announced that he believes the United States will meet its emissions target goal by the year 2030. His goal is a 50-52% reduction of greenhouse gasses since the year 2005. This announcement was made at the Leaders Summit on Climate.

President Biden’s goal is to combat climate change, create millions of jobs, ensure economic competitiveness, advance environmental justice, and improve the health of American communities. Biden also rejoined the Paris Agreement that planned for the United States to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
