Elon Musk Tells Followers to “Vote Republican”

New Twitter owner Elon Musk took to the platform to urge his 115 million followers to vote republican during the midterm elections. Musk says that this announcement was not a direct response to the criticism he faced for his $44 billion purchase of Twitter last month.

Musk tweeted “While it’s true that I’ve been under unfair & misleading attack for some time by leading Democrats, my motivation here is for centrist governance, which matches the interests of most Americans.” Musk admitted that he is in the independent party, and disclosed that he is open to voting Democratic in future elections.
