Former Prime Minister Imran Khan Shot in Reported Assassination Attempt

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot and injured in a reported assassination attempt in Islambad, Pakistan. This assassination attempt killed one person and left many more injured at this political rally.

Khan was waving out of a truck driving through Gujranwala in the Punjab province when shots were fired, sending him and his party into distress. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Umar revealed that Khan was hit in the leg by a bullet, which led to a scattering of bone fragments and pellets. The gunman was arrested on Thursday with a 9mm pistol and two empty magazines.
