North Korea Fires Short Range Missiles

The South Korean military has reported North Korea launched the highest number of short range missiles in a day. The South Korean Defense Ministry said North Korea fired 23 short range missiles, all landing in the water just off the coasts of the Korean Peninsula.

The short range ballistic missile launched by Pyongyang has helped tensions steadily rise between the countries. This missile landed very close to the South Korean territorial waters. Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said this is the first time this has been done since the split of Korea. North Korea also targeted Japan in these weapons testing, landing missiles very close to their borders as well.
