2 New Jersey Police Officers Shot

Two police officers were shot in Newark, New Jersey while serving a search warrant. The suspect was shooting from an elevated location and was at large for close to a day following the shooting. The suspect is now in custody and the officers were taken to the hospital for treatment, they are now in a stable condition.

The suspect is 30 year old Kendall Howard, however this isn’t his first run-in with the law. Howard currently holds charges for two counts of attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and unauthorized possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy backs his officers and is ready to provide support where needed.
