Senator Bob Mendez Under Federal Investigation

New Jersey Senator Bob Mendez, is currently under federal investigation. According to CBS News, longtime political adviser to Mendenz Michael Soliman, said “Senator Menendez is aware of an investigation that was reported today. However, he does not know the scope of the investigation. As always, should any official inquiries be made, the senator is available to provide any assistance that is requested of him or his office.”

It has been reported that this is not the first time Mendez has been investigated, as he was first federally investigated in 2015. In 2015, Mendenz was “indicted — but never convicted — in an alleged bribery scheme.” The reason behind the investigation going on currently has not yet been released, and it is unclear if the reasonin is similar to previous allegations he has faced.
