CAA and MRC Drop Kanye West Following Racist Remarks
On Sunday night, CAA (Creative Arts Industry) announced that they dropped Kanye West following his racist and anti-semtetic remarks made recently. According to CBS News, the agency has “officially dropped the rapper as a client,” and MRC Entertainment has “scrapped a completed documentary about the rapper” too.
MRC Entertainment made a statement on Monday saying “Kanye is a producer and sampler of music. Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.” Many celebrities, as well as companies have banned together to stop Ye from working with other companies and posting on platforms as well. Adidas has been urged by many to stop working with Kanye following his “death con 3” remark he made about Jewish people, but has not yet made a decision. Both Twitter and Instagram have suspended Kanaye from using the social media apps. Kanye has yet to make any statements regarding the matter.
