2 Killed in High School Shooting in St. Louis

A gunman broke into Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, Missouri early Monday morning. The gunman took the lives of two females, and injured seven more before he was fatally shot by police inside the school.

The shooter was 19 year old Orlando Harris who was walking through the school with a long gun. The call to police came in at 9:11am and officers were on the scene within minutes, quickly entering a shootout with the gunman. The two women killed were 16 and 61 years old, the others injured were either 15 or 16 years old and taken to the hospital to have their injuries assessed. The school district has made counselors available to students who need help getting through the incident.
