Biden Asks Congress to Codify Roe v. Wade Abortion Rights

President Joe Biden has just announced that he will be asking the next congressional panel to codify Roe v. Wade abortion rights protections if the Democrats remain in control. Biden made the promise of this effort in a speech Tuesday at the Democratic National Committee.

Republicans are predicted to regain control of the House of Representatives, so the Democrats must scrap to gain control of the Senate in order to attempt to control these rights. Biden wants to sign the abortion rights bill into effect on January 22 of next year, around the 50th anniversary of the initial Roe v. Wade decision.
