Dolly Parton Pays Tribute to Loretta Lynn

Earlier this week, singer Dolly Parton paid tribute to late country singer Loretta Lynn. According to BBC News, Parton posted a tribute on twitter about her friend’s death. The tribute praised Lynn and her impact on Parton, reading, “So sorry to hear about my sister, friend Loretta,” said the singer. “We’ve been like sisters all the years we’ve been in Nashville and she was a wonderful human being.”

Parton and Lynn’s friendship has been decades long. They released the Grammy nominated song “Silver Threads and Golden Needles” together in 1993. Both could be seen commenting on each others social media posts, as well as exchanging messages of love for one another. Lynn passed away on Tuesday at her home in Tennessee at the age of 90.
