15 Dead in Russian School Shooting

A man opened fire on a school in Russia Monday morning killing 15 people, but wounding loads more. The school is located in Izhevsk, about 600 miles from Moscow. 11 of the 15 dead were children in the school, and at least 24 others were injured.

The gunman was 34 year old Artyem Kazantsev, who took his own life in one of the classrooms following his attack. Authorities currently believe the attack could have stemmed from “neofascist views” since Kazanstev was wearing a shirt with a red swastika on it. Russian president Vladimir Putin called this a “terrorist attack” and sends condolences out to everyone who lost a family member in this incident.
