DeSantis Responds to Criminal Investigation

A criminal investigation has just launched against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on the grounds that his taxpayer money was being used to fly migrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. DeSantis and his office have defended their case, explaining that the migrants have a better chance at a successful life in Massachusetts than their homeless shelters.

“Immigrants have been more than willing to leave Bexar County after being abandoned, homeless, and ‘left to fend for themselves,” DeSantis spokesperson Taryn Fenske said. “Florida gave them an opportunity to seek greener pastures in a sanctuary jurisdiction that offered greater resources for them, as we expected.”

Sheriff Javier Salazar opened the investigation to figure out the political purpose behind Florida money aiding the Texan act of shipping away migrants.
