Hurricane Fiona Leaves Puerto Rico in Total Blackout
Hurricane Fiona swept through Puerto Rico without a second glance, leaving behind mounds of misery and despair. Governor Pedro Pierluisi has released that at least two people have been confirmed dead as a result of Hurricane Fiona and her flooding.
Fiona wiped out power on most of the island before moving to the Dominican Republic. With the severe amount of flooding and damage Puerto Rico faced, many residents are saying this hurricane trumps the devastation faced after the 2017 Hurricane Maria.
Business owner Juan Miguel Gonzalez said more people lost their houses and everything inside to this hurricane than they did in Maria, all because of the severe flooding. Fiona will leave Puerto Rico with 12-30 inches of water flooding the streets.
