Ukraine Troops Push Russian Forces Back
Earlier this week, Russia confirmed that Ukrainian troops had forced them back. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian troops have “withdrawn from the key towns of Izyum and Kupyansk.”
BBC reported that Ukraine has retaken “more than 3,000 sq km (1,158 sq miles) from Russian forces” recently during the war. Justin Bronk of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), told BBC that Russian forces have faced “total collapse,” and are weakening as time goes on. All though smaller groups of Russian troops still remain fighting Ukraine forces, their frontline has weakened significantly. Ukraine troops have been moving in by targeting supply routes stopping already exhausted units unexpectedly.
