Twitter Pushes Back Following Musks Third Termination Notice

On Monday, Twitter pushed back against Musk’s third attempt of backing out of purchasing the social media company. According to Spectrum News NY1, Musks’ attorneys sent a letter to Twitter executives last week, saying the social media’s “$7.75 million payout to Peiter Zatko as reason to terminate the deal.”

Twitter responded back to Musk’s attorneys on Monday, saying that the claims were “invalid and wrongful under the Agreement,” and the completion of the deal “needs to be enforced.” It is reported that Twitter sued Musk, but the SpaceX and Tesla CEO have countersued. Their trial at the Delaware court is set to begin the week of October 17th, and Twitter hopes the court will force Musk into going through with the deal.
