Queen Elizabeth II Dies at 96

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning queen of England, has just passed away at the age of 96. All of Britain has already begun mourning the loss of the Queen. Large crowds are expected to gather in London around Buckingham Palace, the residence of Queen Elizabeth II.

Suspicion grew about the Queen’s medical condition when the royal family hurried to Scotland to be by her side. The Queen was being held under medical supervision in her Scottish castle Balmoral. Charles III has now taken over the monarch after his mother’s passing. King Charles III recognized his mother’s death as a “moment of great sadness” in his first statement as king.
