Wyoming “Troubled Teen” Ranches Accused of Abuse
Stories are being told about traumatic experiences and abuse while being at “troubled teen” Christian ranches in Wyoming. The Trinity Teen Solutions ranch was for young girls who had grown up in troubled lives. Parents spent $6,000 a month sending their kids to this ranch. Just down the road was Triangle Cross Ranch, a program run by the same family that is specifically for boys.
Women interviewed about the ranch claimed to always have injuries to their hands and feet from being forced into rigorous manual labor each day. If the girls were out of line at all, they were immediately punished by running, dodging rattlesnakes, or were given small rations of food. The boys who survived Triangle Cross Ranch said they were punished by being forced to fight each other, and one boy was branded on the arm in the shape of a cross.
Both ranches have denied all allegations against them, and Trinity Teen Solutions has gone as far as to sue three of the women who spoke out on grounds of defamation.
