“Don’t Worry Darling” Cast Causes Media Storm at Venice Film Festival
On Monday, the cast of Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling,” caused a media storm at the Venice Film Festival. During a press conference at the festival, Wilde was asked about leading actress Florence Pugh’s absence, and the reported “conflict” between the two women. Fans were told Pugh was absent due to conflicting schedules with the filming of “Dune 2,” and will be present for the film’s screening on Monday.
According to CNN, when Wilde was asked by a reporter about the rumored tension between herself and Pugh, she gave a somewhat vague statement. Wilde responded to the question saying, “As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute. I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished.” No one from the cast has made any further comments regarding the speculated tension between the two, and the film is set to hit theaters on September 23rd.
