Liz Truss Becomes New UK Prime Minister

Queen Elizabeth II has just appointed Liz Truss as the United Kingdom’s new Prime Minister. Truss is the UK’s third female Prime Minister, after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May. Truss grew up protesting PM Thatcher and everything she stood for, and promised to one day get rid of the monarchy.

Supporters of Truss are confident she will stray away from the ideologies that Thatcher enforced so rigidly. Although Truss seems to have mimicked Thatcher in some physical ways, she looks forward to changing the conservative nation.
