UCLA Professors Reportedly Charged Students Extra Fees

At the University of California, Los Angeles, 3 professors reportedly charged students extra fees. According to Diverse Education, after a complaint in 2018 about the university’s School of Dentistry, three professors allegedly “solicited some international postgraduate students for extra fees that were unauthorized.”

According to an investigation conducted by law firm Hueston Hennigan, professors allegedly targeted Middle Eastern students, and disguised payments. The 3 teachers have resigned, and denied the accusations. The LA County Superior Court released the reports from the investigation in early June. The case is still ongoing.
