Taiwan Fires Warning Shots at Chinese Drone
On Tuesday, Taiwanese soldiers fired flares at three unidentified drones that were flying near Kinmen County, and then proceeded to fire a warning shot at one of the drones that circled the area again. According to Taiwan’s Defense Command, all three drones flew back in the direction of the Chinese Mainland.
China claims Taiwan as its own territory, even after Taiwan declared itself a self-governing country. Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen told the Defense Command to keep an eye out for other antics and that “We will not provoke disputes and we will be restrained, yet that does not mean we will not counteract.”
