Musks Lawyers Subpoena Whistleblower
Earlier this week, it was made public that Elon Musk’s lawyers subpoenaed Twitter whistleblower Peiter Zatko. According to the Washington Post, the subpoena “seeks any documents Zatko has related to his complaint to federal regulators that Twitter has misled the public, as well as any documents related to spam, the company’s attempts to hide its security vulnerabilities, and allegations that company employs foreign intelligence service agents.”
In a statement made on Monday by Musk’s lawyers, Zatko was served the subpoena on Saturday. Zatko’s lawyers followed with a statement, saying that Zatko will “comply with his legal obligations of that subpoena and his appearance at the deposition is involuntary,” and that the “whistleblower” comments he said, were made to “protect the American public and Twitter shareholders.”
