California Moves to Ban Sale of Gas-Powered Vehicles
California, the country’s most populated state, has just introduced the idea of banning the sale of new gas powered cars by 2035. This is just another step the state is taking to battle against climate change.
The California Air Resources Board issued the rule on Thursday, and it will force automakers to produce more environmentally safe vehicles by 2026. Their plan is to have only zero-emission cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs allowed in the state.
This plan is set to move over to other states such as New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, who have already adopted some of California’s clean car rules.
