Harry Styles Faces Backlash for his Comments on Gay Sex

Singer Harry Styles has been facing backlash from fans after a comment he made about gay sex in a recent interview. Styles was promoting his upcoming film My Policeman, where he plays a gay police officer who is hiding his sexuality in Brighton during the 1950’s.

According to the Daily Mail, Styles told Rolling Stone that “So much of gay sex in film is two guys going at it, and it kind of removes the tenderness from it. There will be, some people who watch it who were very much alive during this time when it was illegal to be gay, and director Michael Grandage wanted to show that it’s tender and loving and sensitive.” After the interview was published, many fans were angry at the singer for using words such as “going at it,” and for “speaking for the queer community.” Styles has not yet made any comments in response to the criticism.
