Instagram Testing New Feature Similar to App BeReal

Over the past week, the social media app Instagram, announced that they are testing a new feature within their app. The feature also happens to be similar to the newly popular app BeReal.

According to CNN Business, the feature is called “IG Candid Challenges,” and is similar to BeReal in the way that it “prompts users everyday at a different time to share a photo to their stories within a two-minute time frame.” Both apps include the two minute time frame, as well as the usage of two different camera shots. BeReal has not commented on the app’s new feature being similar.
