Multiple Deaths After Two Planes in California Airport Collide
Two planes collided in the air on Thursday afternoon over a California airport, killing all 3 involved. A single engine Cessna 152 and a twin engine Cessna 340 crashed while one of them was trying to land at Watsonville Municipal Airport.
When the Cessna 340 came hurtling to the ground it crashed into part of a hangar and damaged the plane inside the building. The crash also started a fire, but there were no injuries to anyone on the ground. There was reportedly no air traffic control over the area at the time of the midair collision. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
