40 More Books Banned from Texas School District

Last week, a Texas school district removed and banned more than 40 books from libraries before classes began in the fall. The Keller Independent School District decided to remove all of the books that were reportedly “challenged” or complained about last year.

According to The Hill, the list of books being banned include “all versions of the Bible, a graphic novel of Anne Frank’s The Diary of a Young Girl, and Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye” along with many more. An email was sent out by Keller Independent School District officials to both schools and parents, and listed the 41 titles that will not reach shelves.
