President Biden Signs the PACT Act to Aid Veterans

On Wednesday, president Joe Biden signed the PACT (Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics) Act to aid veterans. According to WhiteHouse.gov, Biden promises the PACT Act will “address toxic exposures from burn pits that have impacted veterans, as well as their families and caregivers, and provide them with the health care and benefits they have earned and deserve.”

According to CBS, the bill “passed the Senate a second time, last Tuesday…after protesters, many of them veterans, spent days advocating for their cause in front of the Senate steps.” Veterans and survivors of burn pits were in attendance at the signing of the bill on Wednesday.
