Senate Passes Climate, Tax, and Health Care Bill

The Democratic party passed what could be the largest climate investment in US history on Sunday. This is a $750 billion health care, tax and climate bill called the Inflation Reduction Act.

This bill passed in the Senate with a 51-50 vote, with Vice President Kamala Harris being the tie breaking vote. The bill gives Medicare the ability to decide the prices of medication and extend expiring healthcare subsidies for up to three years.

This bill will allow for the spending of $430 billion to reduce carbon emissions, a cause the Democratic party believes is worth the money. This is intended to be an investment for American families and the environment for our future.
