68 Migrants Bussed from Texas to NYC This Past Weekend
This past weekend, 68 migrants arrived in New York City for asylum after a long three day bus ride from Texas. Migrants have been coming into Texas due to President Biden’s open border policy, but Texas Governor Greg Abbott is not welcoming to the idea of migrants taking over his state and his citizens’ resources.
The migrants voluntarily sign a waiver to take the bus ride over to New York City, which is a known sanctuary city, for assistance with food and housing. Abbott is adamant about sending the migrants over as a sign to Biden to close the Southwest border if the Northern Democratic cities won’t take in the migrants.
Abbott is sure that NYC Mayor Eric Adams will hold true to his statement that the city will welcome migrants in with open arms, and consequently provide relief to the Texas cities that have been feeling the pressure of the open border.
