HBO Max and Discovery+ to Merge

Warner Bros. Discovery has just announced a new merger of HBO Max and Discovery Plus that will be completed in the summer of 2023. The fusion of these streaming services is intended to make it easier for families to find things to watch on one service instead of having to switch between the two.

Warner Bros. Discovery does not yet have a name for the new service. The company is currently busy trying to find a good way to support viewer needs in both ad-supported and ad-free versions. After its debut in the US in summer 2023, the platform is set to expand globally to Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific by mid 2024.
