Tiger Woods Turns Down $700-$800 Million Deal
Professional golfer Tiger Woods, has recently turned down a $700-$800 million deal to join the LIV Golf series. According to an interview with FOX News on Monday, when Tucker Carlson asked the tour’s CEO Greg Norman about whether or not that deal was true, Norman confirmed the deal was out there, but did not give an exact number offered.
According to CNN, Norman told Carlson “They had originally approached Tiger before I became CEO, so, yes, that number is somewhere in that neighborhood.” Earlier in June, Norman told the Washington Post that Woods had declined a deal offering a “mind-blowingly enormous, nine-digit” sum of money. The tour has been seen as controversial; many criticizing it for paying players large sums of cash incentives before they even compete. CNN reported that Woods has previously criticized Norman in the media before, further showing a potential reason as to why he could have declined the deal.
