Russia to Quit the International Space Station After 2024

The head of Russia’s space agency has just revealed that the country will be pulling out of their decades long partnership with NASA and leaving the International Space Station come 2024.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed of this decision by the Roscosmos chief Yury Borisov. Roscosmos fully intends to uphold their duties and promises to the International Space Station until their intended departure after 2024. The director of the International Space Station for NASA has not yet received an official notice from Russia about their departure.

NASA plans to keep the International Space Station running until 2030, where it will then be crashed into the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
