Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi’s Son on Respiratory Support Post Birth

Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi just welcomed baby boy Legendary into the world, but it was not what they were expecting. Shortly after Legendary came into the world he was rushed to be put on respiratory support.

Legendary was born with a “long crown” caused by a nuchal hand. This is a hand by the ear, which caused the lack of oxygen for the newborn. The model’s midwife used an air tube to get some oxygen flowing into Legendary’s lungs, and when his first cry came Tiesi said it was “the best sound I ever heard.”

Tiesi created an 11 minute YouTube video to document the experience of labor and childbirth, and how giving birth humbled her immensely. Baby Legendary was born on June 28 at 8lbs and 10oz at 21in.
